Does my new schedule sound okay? (Freshman)

Hi! I posted my potential schedule a few months back, however I’ve switched schools therefore it has changed. I was wondering if the new one sounds just as good or even better:

AP World History, A/B
Honors English 9, A/B
Honors Physics, A/B
Algebra l, A/B
Latin l, A/B
Introduction to 3D Art, A
Introduction to 2D Art, B
Introduction to Computer Science, A
Health & Wellness, B

Clubs haven’t start yet however I’ll be taking atleast 2.

I know it isn’t suggested for freshman’s to take AP, however there isn’t an honors history class for freshman’s in my school and I placed extremely high on my placement test so my counselor suggested I take it. It’s also the only AP available for freshman’s.

Physics is the science class given to freshman’s which is different, but I think if I try hard I can do well in it.

Latin is required so I decided to take that as my only world language class.

If you have any advice/suggestions please comment below. Thanks in advance!

Looks good to me, although odd that physics is for freshman but you go with what your school offers. My only concern is that many selective college want to see 4 years of a foreign language, and some schools want it to be a modern language.

It’s fine. It’s a typical schedule for an honors student. Freshman rarely have much choice in schedules. You’ve covered the core subjects (English, math, science, social science, and foreign language), which is key. Good luck.

I’ve never seen a top-tier college state that, and would be very interested to see a source for that statement. My experience is that if a foreign language fulfills a HS graduation requirement, the college will accept the same language as fulfilling its recommended preparation. Now whether that language fulfills a college’s graduation requirement may be a different story. As an example, if a student takes 4 years of ASL in HS, Harvard will accept that as fulfilling its 4 year FL recommendation. However, Harvard students cannot use ASL to fulfill the college graduation requirements.

Many high schools, although still a minority, have transitioned the science pathways to a “physics first” curriculum. File it under “It is what it is.”

Thank you! Hopefully I’ll be able to do fine.
