Does my non custodial parent have to submit their tax returns on the IDOC

Basically, the title. My dad keeps on saying that I dont need to worry about that. But it states it’s a required document. I’m trying to find it on a official page so I can confirm. So if anyone has any links explaining this to me, I’ll be thankful.

What school? Are you a domestic or international applicant?

This.

It all depends on the particular school and your status as an applicant. Nobody here can help you without knowing this information.

Your school should have indicated what documents are needed for IDOC.

If your dad’s tax return is required, IIRC, he would need to submit that, not you. The whole purposes of the non-custodial parent form are to gain accurate financials from the non-custodial parent (and spouse if there is one) but not so that the custodial parent can see it. So…one would think you wouldn’t be the one submitting this. If required, does IDOC have a means for NCPs to submit forms?

Check with each school. If it’s required for institutional aid you have to send it. Colleges don’t process incomplete files. If they want it and you don’t send it you won’t get any aid.
