Hi! I am currently in freshman year and have took/am taking AP World History, Honors Physics I, Health, Honors Latin I, Algebra l, Intro to 2D/3D, Intro to Computer Science, and Honors English 9. I have gotten all A’s or above with an exception of an A- in Intro to Computer Science in my first semester. I have not been in any clubs this year and regret it, however I do plan to next year. I am also taking Geometry over the summer. My schedule for next year would look like this:
AP U.S. History, 1/2
Pre-AP Chemistry, 1/2
Pre-AP English 10, 1/2
Honors Latin II, 1/2
Algebra II, 1/2
Art History, 1/2
Drawing, 1/2
Based off my classes and grades from freshman year + the general consensus on what classes a sophomore should take, do you think I would do okay? Any advice and opinions are appreciated, thanks!
It looks reasonable to me. You’ve got all the cores and are building up the rigor, and you have a pattern of academic success going. Good for you!
I’m not a super big fan of cramming a year of math into a summer, but I understand why you’d want to make it to calculus and/or Physics C.
It looks good.
Would you be taking geometry in school or online?
WOW APUSH sophomore year? If you get an A, that’s really impressive (although it varies by school).
^some schools have US history as a Sophomore class, others have two years of world history where APWH is the second segment to the course. OP has apparently taken APWH successfully so I think APUSh should be ok.
@MYOS1634 Thank you! I’ll be taking Geometry in school. My school has a “summer academy” where they have classes like heath, P.E., Latin II, and Geometry.
@Cadmissionsnerdz Yes haha, I’ve gotten an A in both semesters of APWH and I’m about to find out how I’ll do on the actual AP test. Hopefully I’ll do okay next year!
