Does National Merit Qualifier Matter???

I got a 210 on the PSAT so I was a qualifier but I will not be a finalist.

So do colleges actually care if I was a Qualifier or just a finalist?
Would it make a difference on my resume?

BTW, I am not trying to get into any top tier schools, no ivies or anyything

by qualifier do you mean semifinalist? or commended scholar? if you are a semifinalist, you become a finalist by having decent grades, SAT scores and recommendations, not by how much you exceeded the PSAT cutoff. i’m guessing you mean commended scholar. this isn’t as prestigious as semifinalist, but it is still quite good. congrats

having semifinalist status is only a small plus. i know many finalists who did not get into “top” schools, and many non finalists (not even commended) who got into great schools. In the end, what matters most is your actual SAT I score. Hopefully you have more awards than just that commended award.
