Does not having taken the Math II SAT Subject test put me at a disadvantage for SIMR and/or RSI?

I am a junior in high school taking precalculus right now, but I had always planned to take the math II test after the school year ended. Does this put me at a disadvantage for competitive summer programs like the ones mentioned in the title?

One thing to note is that I am in the highest math lane at my school, and got a 790/800 for math on the SAT I and a 750/760 for math on the PSAT.

Thanks for all the feedback!

I think that you should be fine, depending on the field of study you’re interested in. I will say that almost all of the applicants will have taken the Math II test (and gotten perfect scores). However, the most important aspects of your application are the personal essays and recommendations.

Not for SIMR, you’re fine. I hadn’t even taken the SAT when I applied. Focus on your essays! Good luck.

@dbad101 Thanks, that’s a relief! I heard that the essays can make or break your application; do you know if that’s true?

@rstorm this is true of most applications, whether for summer programs or colleges.
