Does not taking the PSAT matter?

<p>If someone didn't take the PSAT, is that going to hurt their chances when applying to HPYS, BC, NYU? Assume that everything else is within the 25%-75% range for those schools. </p>

<p>The PSAT is not used at all in college admissions. Don’t worry about this.</p>

<p>I didn’t take it and I got into Stanford. You could mention a good PSAT score in your resume to boost it I guess, and also you’re eligible for some extra scholarships if you do well on it, but it doesn’t affect admissions.</p>
