Does NOVA/NVCC prepares you for Virginia Tech Engineering?

I am going to NOVA for my first year to save some money, but I am worried that NVCC will not prepare me for a real university like Tech. Can anyone tell me their experience with the transfer and the difference in difficulty between the two schools?

I know people who transferred in from CC and did really well, I know people who got wrecked. It’s a function of the individual and not the CC tbh
