I'm taking 4 AP classes and my overall UW for this term is in the high 80s. My overall UW GPA for the past years is a 92.8. Did I ruin my chance? I got a 1370 on my SAT. (600 CR and 770 M) I applied to NYU CAS. And I got a 720 Math II and 700 Chem. Based on my academic record only, do you think I still have a good chance? PS: I know that ECs, rec, essays are also very important.

Basically…I’m probably going to get ALL B/B+s in all my AP classes for the fall term.

NYU doesn’t require a midyear report.

If you believe your mid-year report would help your candidacy then I believe NYU would take a look at it. However, seeing as how that isn’t the case for you, I would recommend holding off from sending it. It will neither hurt you or help you, especially since NYU doesn’t even ASK for a mid-year report to begin with. So you’re fine.

Heeheehee…they don’t even ask for it! I sent my D’s in anyway HOPING they’d look at it, it’s her best semester yet. Hope that fact will catch their eye, but it will probably just be filed by a work-study student and never seen. Oh well. Luck to ya.

My school sends it anyway (even if I don’t want them to).

So I decided that if my school insists on NYU considering my senior grades, I might as well attach an updated resume as well.

If I got in ED… does my mid year report matter? and is it optional

I don’t think so Colij. I believe they still want to see your Final Report, however. So make sure you don’t fail anything.
