Does NYU defer to LSP with ED2?

Title says it all.

Having the same question too bump~~~

I don’t think anybody on here would know the answer, as this is the first year EDII is being offered. Your best bet is probably to call the admissions office/email the office. Personally I would assume that they do.

i am really curious because my stats are probably on the verge of cas econ`s requirement=w= but i will be really gracious already if i got put into lsp=w=

what does GSP and LSP mean?

They should because LSP is for people they believe belong at NYU, but want to “test” them to be sure (although there has been speculation that this is a tactic for dealing with overflow to keep CAS’s acceptance rate low). Even people from RD get into LSP.

@ sixty9: Global Scholars Program (GSP) is the former name of Liberal Studies Program (LSP). It’s basically where they send CAS, Gallatin, and Steinhardt applicants whom they are unsure of. It’s a 2 year foundation program with guaranteed transfer into whichever school they applied to first if they preform adequately academics-wise.
