I've researched it online and I've gotten mixed answers....I've emailed the rep for my state (Illinois) but I just sent the email so I'm waiting for a reply..and I'm not patient lol. Illinois students were requried to take the PSAE (which includes a day of the ACT) on April 24 (2012) and I got a pretty good score, only the state couldn't afford to give us the writing portion. If I were to get a 28 in June w/ writing, can I just add my writing to my current score (which is 31)?

Yes. You can definitely do that. It says so on the website, and I have been to many information sessions where this was explicitly stated. I live in Illinois too and am in a similar situation (except I will be submitting 3 to superscore). I’ve emailed the regional counselor and he will most likely send you a rather robotic, copy and pasted answer.

Thank you so much! you just made me very happy lol
