Hi,
I’ve done online school for the past two years (10th and 11th grade), because I had a bad experience at the high school I attended in ninth grade. My online school is accredited. I am returning to my previous brick and mortar high school for senior year. I just want to know if online school looks bad to admissions counselors. I am planning to apply to top colleges, such as UChicago, Pomona, Carleton, etc. I am a pretty good student–3.92 UW GPA, 4.47 W; 35 ACT; 4s and 5s on AP exams, etc.–and have taken many honors and AP classes.
Also, I have participated in four online clubs that my school offers. I’ve participated in each club for three years, and I am president of two of them. They are STEM club, history club, fine arts and music club, and astronomy club. We video chat, carry out experiments, talk about science in the news, and more. (I’ve done other ECs as well; I play three instruments, do community service, etc.) Will these clubs look bad on college apps since they are online?
