Does Oregon State require an essay in the application?

I checked their admissions requirements:
<a href="http://oregonstate.edu/admissions/main/admission-requirements-1">http://oregonstate.edu/admissions/main/admission-requirements-1</a></p>

and I cannot find any essays but they have something called an "Insight Resume" and I'm not sure if that's supposed to be an essay or what? Anyone who knows Oregon state can you help me out? Thanks

It has many (5?) questions on the application that require a narrative response… like mini personal statements. The Application is available online to look at.

The application actually asks for 5 or 6 short “essays”, which I believe are used for scholarship considerations. There is also the Honors program essay. If you are applying and hope to get any of these scholarships, apply in the first application period. They use up a lot of honors positions and perhaps scholarship money for weaker applicants who apply earlier, and can end up shorting stronger applicants who apply later.
