<p>I want to understand if parent's income take any part in decision, if a student is admitted in a private college or not. On paper if parent's income is not sufficient to pay tuition money of $45000/year, does it mean that a student will be denied admission, even though he has very good application.</p>
<p>Bottom line–at most schools, money matters. Many schools say they are need blind for admission but than do not give the student the aid they need to attend. Some consider money when they admit or deny. Only a small number of mostly top schools are need blind and meet every students financial need.</p>
<p>Most schools don’t ask your parents income on the application, but they ask if you will need to apply for FA. Money isn’t everything at most schools, but it is one thing in a sea of things…</p>
