I'm currently a computer science major and I'm looking for part-time job for three main reasons: for my financial aid, to look for internship opportunity, and to have something to write on my resume : )
So my questions are: does part-time job leads to internship opportunity and looks good on resume?? also, would it be better to look for part-time job that's related to my major which is computer science??

A part-time job will look good on your resume and give you material to answer behavioral questions during internship interviews.

However, unless the job you are considering is related to your field you should not continue if it will hurt your grades.

ok thanks ![]()
is there any part-time jobs that are related to computer science major?

Depends on where you are… you could try working in your university’s computer labs as an admin, in a research lab helping to program various models etc. Or you could do an internship if there’s something close by (e.g. Symantec is near UCLA). Talk to you career center, advisors, counselors and most importantly, your professors.
