Wondering if PSU uses the bell curve for grading...(in the Communications Science Disorders Department)if everyone gets between 80 and 100 on a test, then do they distribute the grades between D up to A? I attended SUNY Stony Brook and they used this method and never gave all As to everyone in a class. They curved up or down depending on how well the class did as a whole.

im not sure about your department but I recently took the physics 211 final exam, on the 17th, the overall average was a 69% so inorder to make this 70 they added 1% to all grades, i ended up getting a 101% :D.
this was a message written the the prof. to all students that took the test

‘Final exam grades are posted and are curved 1 point up so that the exam average meets the 70% requirement mentioned in the syllabus.’

this was the final exam results distribution.
