<p>I got a D in Drivers Ed... only D I've ever gotten, but the teacher hated me. I say that with confidence; he also gave me five detentions. </p>
<p>(I'm a good kid! I was late a few times to his gym class because I was going to the bathroom and my chem teacher who I had before that wouldn't let us and he wouldn't let us go during the gym period!)</p>
<p>So my question is... will the colleges see that that grade is bringing down my GPA and take it out?</p>
<p>There are a few colleges that actually consider phys ed and that is very few and none I am aware of that consider Driver’s Ed. Most look at core college prep courses – English, language, math, lab sciences, and social studies – and ignore PE, Driver’s Ed, vocational classes and health (in other words your possibly high grades in vocational classes and health will also be ignored along with any D in driver’s ed). Most also ignore art and music but the UCs are one of the exceptions as they require one year of one of those and grades in those are part of their calculation for admission.</p>
