Does Princeton have a good English and Music Department?

Hi Everyone! I'm glad I found this website, especially since I'm applying to schools this year. If I did get into Princeton, I'd be interested in majoring in English and getting a certificate in Musical Performance.

Does anyone know how the English and Music Department are?

Thanks!

Our English department is amazing. Joyce Carol Oates? Toni Morrison? I don't know about the rankings, but I'm very confident that we have one of the best English programs, and certainly in my opinion the best English professors.

there is a difference between creative writing and english. Just putting it out there.

That's like the difference between psychology and neuroscience...

as for music department, I feel that choral music (and jazz) is more prominent than the others (orchestra and chamber music). In my opinion, Yale, Columbia have better music department (in general). But that really depends on which music you will be doing.

lol...u don't hav to ask

no, not really. There is a big difference between writing fiction, and analyzing fiction. A good writer can be a terrible critic, and vice versa.
