does princeton not like...

in state kids, cuz i get that feeling, and it's discouraging me from applying next year

they accept more from NJ than any other state in the nation...usually around 300 or so. =P. NJ is tied with like NY. they love in state kids its just the competition instate is crazy =P

yes, and my stats are somewhat subpar... haha

From what I've heard, everyone one on the East Coast wants to go to the local Ivy. Penn is full of Pennsylvania/Deleware/New Jersey Kids, Columbia from the tri-state area, Harvard from Massachusetts, etc.

i want to go to penn... actually i'd love to go to princeton, but i can't get in!

penn????? that's princeton's rival!!!

cujoe - don't worry. quite a few NJers got in ED and Pton has special fin aid initiatives for NJ residents so I doubt they dislike state kids.

^^Penn? what Penn?

;)

^^^ hahaha :D Couldn't agree more.

[defensive] No I did NOT say Penn was a safety school! [/defensive]

:p

my dilemma is, even if i do apply ed, there is no way my stats would stack up against the other's applying... thus, i choose penn... and penn has owned princeton in every sport with the exception of hockey* not trying to flame, just stating the facts

If you do ED to Penn because you say it's easier to get in, and you do get in, then bye bye Princeton.

my dilemma is, even if i do apply ed, there is no way my stats would stack up against the other's applying... thus, i choose penn... and penn has owned princeton in every sport with the exception of hockey not trying to flame, just stating the facts*

Last year, Princeton went to the NCAA tournament while Penn only watched.

so... what happened this year? and what about football...? what?? oh that penn's been the ivy champ for football 20 out of the past 24 years...? and princeton went what was their record? um... was penn's record 13-1 this year? haha sorry had to make some...er... corrections*

and paradox_master, altho i do like princeton very much, there is little it offers other than prestige that penn doesn't... well... i'm lying a bit here, but you get the idea

Well my point wasn't to show that Penn was bad at sports, just that Princeton doesn't get owned in "every sport with the exception of hockey." Owned has a connotation of domination and I think Princeton's performance last year in basketball serves enough as a counter example to show Princeton doesn't get owned in "every sport with the exception of hockey."

point taken, but princeton football has been horrible as of late

cujoe,

What do you plan to major on?

Don't bash Penn. It's a tyte school, and if I don't get into Princeton, then it's my number two (I'm not even thinking about my chances at Stanford lol).

@paradox_master...

i think i want to major in chemistry... or chemical engineering and maybe a minor in music?
