I spar with an Everlast sparring partner heavy bag, but it never hits me back. However, if I am hitting the bag with full force, should not the reactionary force reverberate throughout my body and rack my brain(because it will shake)? Sometimes, when I hit the bag with full force, I can feel the reactionary force tense my neck. Will hitting a heavy bag cause neuron death? Thank you a lot!

As long as you don’t headbutt the sparring bag I don’t think it’ll cause brain damage :)

It already has, as evidenced by your asking such a question.

I would also like to know the answer to this question, along with whether headbanging will kill brain cells (Even though I don’t do it, it is still an object of curiosity.)

In theory, any rapid movement of the head should tear axons and thus kill brain cells. However, the force needed to do this isn’t known, as activities like jogging aren’t seen as serious threats.

Actually the force is known: about 2.5 N. This is the equivalent to the bobbing of the head during a light walk.

What I’m trying to say is, don’t leave your bed, and try not to move too much.

Are you ■■■■■■■■?

Definitely not
