I am female interested in mechanical engineering and computer science that was admitted to their honors program. I am having trouble choosing between University of Michigan and Purdue. Any help appreciated.

Are you able to visit each campus? We just attended the Purdue’s for Me and my D has moved it to the top of her list for ChemE. It’s a beautiful campus in a small town where everyone supports the school. The job placement services, co op, and study abroad opportunities are top notch. OOS rates favor Purdue by about $15k/yr. The honors program and dedicated residence halls are new and highly rated. Accessibility for your travels away from school probably favor Michigan. We flew into Chicago and drove just over 2 hrs to West Lafayette. We didn’t visit Michigan so can’t speak to its programs. Based on rankings of both engineering programs you can’t go wrong with either school.
