I am a devoted Buddhist. I wish to apply to colleges that are affiliated with Christianity.
For instance, Pepperdine, LMU, Santa Clara...
Some of their essays seem to be directed only at Christians.
For eg:
Pepperdine University is a Christian university committed to the highest standards of academic excellence and Christian values, where students are strengthened for lives of purpose, service, and leadership. How are you prepared to contribute to Pepperdine's mission and community of faith, learning, and service?

Am I allowed to write in a Buddhist point of view? Will it hurt my chances if I do so?

I don’t think it should just don’t write anything bad about religion. Write about how different religions coexist or how Buddhism is great and peaceful or something like that.

For the records, I would not be writing any bad about any religion or preaching why my religion is better or anything like that. I will just mention about my time as a Buddhist monk in India and how the experience strengthened my faith and shaped my attitude towards learning and service. So I guess I should give it a try then.
