Hello.
For those going to Rochester, were your CSS Profile EFC close to your FASFA EFC? And if then, did Rochester really cover for everything outside of the profile EFC?

Thank you

Hello.
For those going to Rochester, were your CSS Profile EFC close to your FASFA EFC? And if then, did Rochester really cover for everything outside of the profile EFC?

Thank you

Ours was close. URoc was our best financial offer beating even some of the big merit aid schools like U Alabama. Some other schools had us paying 25K annually MORE than URoc. Others were within 2K. We would have paid the 2K more if my son had preferred those places, but URoc was his #1 choice so it was a nice bonus that they came in the lowest. We’ll know soon if they repeat it for his sophomore year.

It’s all going to depend on your family’s finances.

If there is a business or self-employment involved—your UR EFC is probably going to wildly different than FAFSA. If your family’s income is strictly from wages with only typical assets, then it’s likely to be close.

Another potential item that can cause issues for some families is home value, particularly if you live in a high cost area where homes are more expensive than the national average.
