<p>I come from a poor area and the cost of college is getting to me now as I am a rising senior. I went on to their website and saw the list of merit scholarships which seem very competitive. But 2 of my friends say that they only pay around 6k a year, and one had a 1600 sat and the other had 1900. I dont see anything about need based aid however on their website. Anyone?</p>
<p>You fill out the FAFSA and Rutgers determines how much your family contribution should be toward your education. My friend’s son( low income family) got close to 20,000 a year in government grants, Rutgers grant and loans.</p>
