I heard some people saying that UNC does NOT care about writing score of the SAT other than English placement.
Is it true? Did UNC say anything about it?

Thanks:)

I’m not sure if this is the case or not. However, even if Chapel Hill didn’t really care as much about writing as they did about reading and math, and bad score is DEFINITELY NOT going to look good on your application! They ask you to submit the score, so I don’t know why they wouldn’t care about it. I would certainly try to make my writing score as high as math and English scores, if not higher (I thought writing was the easiest section by far).

The writing score is used for placement in English if you end up getting in.

Oh, yeah! I forgot about the added bonus of the language placement. My score placed me out of both English 101 AND 102–which, trust me, is very nice indeed!
