does SC require a midyear report?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

yes, for all applicants

huh where can you get the forms?

It's Form 4 of Part II app.

My apologies to baklava, who posted below. I edited this post after I confirmed that he was right.

um actually it does. You have to send in a mid year transcript

4 is academic history, not midyear report

correct me if im wrong

nah, you dont have to. its optional

You're supposed to have a transcript attached with your academic history. Read the instructions on the page before.

i did it online, but i also used the paper app for the rec forms and transcript request forms. im just so confused.

yeah, where's the form for the mid-year report?

When I applied last year, I think I just requested an official transcript from my HS and mailed it to USC myself.

didnt the app say that its not required for all applicants, but that for "selected" applicants its requrested?

USC will contact you if they want a midyear report.

I'm pretty sure USC does require mid-year reports, forget where it's at on the website but they require sending them beginning January to mid-Feb, depending on when your mid-year is.

---- Hmm.. take that back.... Could have sworn I read they needed it somewhere.....Gonna have to agree with sirwatson on that one.

Mid year reprt optionalm if you've been accepted (I can't speak for anyone else) but I called to make sure

so if we've been accepted and we want to send one in is there a form we should use, or should we just send a transcript?

why would you send one in if you're accepted?

Has anyone been asked to send a midyear report yet?

Yes, I just received a Mid-Year Report request in the mail today (2/9) dated 2/7. I had not heard from USC prior to today other than the conformation letter stating that Admissions received my application(back in December, i think). Anyways, I'm supposed to either send in my first semester grades online @ http://www.usc.edu/MDYResponse OR through mail. The letter says that they "hope to receive this information by late February..." so they can make a final decision by April 1st

You are not necessarily required to send a midyear report; if they want to see one, they will request one, as indicated by the user above. I haven't gotten notice that I need to send one in.
