I am currently taking 6 AP classes right now. However, AP Economics Micro is only one semester, so I could have just 5 AP classes my second semester of senior year. I really want 5 classes but do colleges frown upon that? My counselor said colleges want to see that you're challenging yourself so that I should take 6 AP classes next semester too.

It would be nice to have 5 periods seeing how it is my last year and it'll give me a chance to switch AP Language teachers

No I really don’t think it’s going to matter. It might be different if you randomly dropped a bunch of your classes after first semester, but that’s not what you’re doing. If the class is only a semester long, then it’s only a semester long. Besides, your schedule is very rigorous even with only 5 classes and aside from the very top colleges, most colleges aren’t going to care that much even if you did drop a class or two at semester.

I could take AP Economics (Macro) second semester. I’ve already took 3 years of science, and I’m taking 3 social science classes. I’m not going into anything science related so I’m hoping that’s okay
