I've already submitted my Candidate Profile and everything, but as for the final applications, I think I'm going to need all the time I can get to edit and finish writing. Do the admissions officers start looking at the applications when they receive them? Or do they just gather them until the deadline is past? I have this vision of all the spaces being taken by the time I submit my application.

I’m sure they start reading applications, but only those that are complete. As kids on a semester plan may not have even finished their semester at this date, they won’t have complete applications for many kids until after the deadline. The student’s part of the application is due by the deadline.

I received an email from one of the schools my daughter was going to apply to and they stated it is the application forms from the student/& essays that are due on the deadline. They understand that some people just took the last SSAT and teachers recs are creeping into their offices.

They stated not to contact them to check to see if anything is missing but they will contact in two weeks if anything was missing. They WILL let you know if things are missing.
