Throughout high school, I've pretty much done from okay to worse to better.
Freshman year GPA: 3.0 / 3.0
Sophomore year: 2.8/ 2.8
Junior year: 3.3/ 3.5
My SAT is really bad, I'm going to retake it asap, right now its at 1500

Senior year: I've decided to take up 3 APs

AP bio, AP psychology, and AP stats.

Some ec things I've done is being: President of business club, vice president of film club, and an avid member of a club that does tremendous community service.

I'm thinking of applying to UCR, CSUF(Cal State Fullerton) CSLB ( Cal State Long Beach )
any reccomendations to apply anywhere?

So, all in all, will senior year really help me? Given the fact that I do extremely well senior year. Or all the things my counselors have told me is pretty much bs.
What are my chances exactly? With the freezes in the california schools this year.

1) you’re at a culm GPA of 3.06 right now. If you 3.5 your next semester, you’ll go to 3.12. If you 4.0 your next semester, you go to 3.20. Big difference – some schools who may turn you down may accept you.

2) You want to hone your skills as you ready for college. Can’t tell you how many kids get there and are not used to the freedom/unsupervised workload/heavy workload – and they flounder for a semester or more. Go in planning on great grades – not just eking out a 3.0.

3) bear down on the SAT prep. Your ECs should be prioritized WAY below your school work and SAT prep. Your ECs won’t matter at this point whereas your GPA and SAT retake will dramatically matter. Your ECs should be a release – pleasure. Don’t let it be an excuse or a distraction. Your ECs count ZERO for your target schools.

Your classes that you take senior year will/should be on your transcript that you use to apply. If you are accepted, most colleges will ask for a midyear report on your grades and such because it can either hurt or help your chances at being accepted for things like scholarships and such.
