Im fluent in polish and english, and studying ap spanish as my 4th and final year of high school. Does it benefit you immensely or just a little?

I’m anxious to know too… does it help to have taken two languages in high school?

it sure doesn’t hurt. And having a minor/major in a foreign language usually gives you more moolah.

It’s necessary to know at least seven languages by graduation of high school.

But you should have 2 languages as default: English and second language you studied throughout high school. but the more the merrier, esp. in the humanities (I suppose Latin could help if you are studying medicine or the sciences but not significantly).

From what I’ve heard, it’s only truly to your benefit if you surpassed the highest available course offering for one class (i.e. going up to Spanish V AP) and are still looking for a challenge.

If you take Spanish I and II and then subsequently French I and II, apparently it’s not nearly as impressive.

Many applicants are fluent in both Mandarin and English, and in a lot of those cases being bilingual sure as hell hasn’t help.

I doubt there is any effect whatsoever.
