Does Stanford dislike "additional information?"

Stanford's website reads, "DO NOT send additional materials such as resumes, research papers, newspaper articles and writing samples. They will not be considered."

Does this include anything uploaded in the "Additional Information" portion of the Common App? I have an extended activities, etc resume uploaded there, but is this discouraged?

Thank you for any insight ^_^

I doubt it. If there’s a box for it, then I’d assume they’d be okay with you filling it out. :)

i don’t think so-remember, on the common app, once you send to one college, you can’t make any changes to it. so i would include the additional info section, but just remember they may not read the resume if you attach it.

when my regional rep visited my school, he said it was okay to attach my resume but he would probably not read it. (I’m being a little repetitive, but i want to make it clear).

ah, that helps. thank you!
