Does stanford only look at one of your ACT/SAT scores?

I took my sats this year and did not as well as id hoped due to a fever and sleep deprivation 2130, and then i recently took the act and got a 35 however stanford requires me to submit both. On the application can i submit my act as my main test score, because if i submit both i dont want stanford to think that I think 2130 accurately effects my academic abilities. Will they value the ACT much more than the sat since its a lot higher and its taken on a later date?

In other words, would they just view my SATs as a reference or would they take it seriously?

I don’t know about Stanford’s policy in particular, but generally if you’re obligated to send ALL test scores to an institution, they will consider the individual highest one (unless they utilize a superscoring policy). Most understand that you may have an off day.

I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. I think they want to know if someone took each test 5 times, maybe. Sitting for one each, yes I’m sure they will weigh the ACT score more heavily.
