Does studying for SAT's help for the ACT also?

I'm taking the ACT October 26th, but I haven't truly prepped for it. I've been focusing on the SAT's. Any tips on what I should do to prepare for the writing or science section..

In my opinion, the ACT writing section has prompts that are generally harder to support with concrete evidence. I usually have to use general terms to support my arguments, but that may just be me. I really did not plan for the ACT writing last time I tested because I am a fairly good bs-er, and that earned me an 11 on the SAT essay, and an 11 on the ACT essay also. For the science, I recommend having taken HS biology and chemistry, and maybe physics, as those courses will really help you with the passages. My trick for the science is to not read the information at all; start answering the questions (which usually start off as analyzing graph ones) and then by the end of the questions you should infer what the experiment was about. This allows me to save time by not reading unnecessary passages and allows me to devote my time to the more challenging passages. On my last ACT, I think I only read 3 out of 7 passages, and I finished with 5 minutes left over. So yeah, that’s just my strategy if you find yourself time pressed.
