I’m a pretty competitive student (strong SAT scores and GPA) and my main essay is about art. Is it helpful to submit an art supplement? I’m applying to some pretty competitive schools like Harvard and Yale, so I don’t want to do anything potentially harmful to my application. I would say I have some pretty decent pieces of art and my art teacher (who has had students go to Yale and MIT) thinks it’s a good idea. Thank you!
The general thinking is that for an art supplement to be helpful it would have to be of an extremely high quality. If your art teacher thinks they are worth sending then it is worth considering.
Thank you for the reply! @happy1 Is there any chance it would potentially be harmful? I’m not planning on majoring in art, but I know that typically the respective departments review supplements.
