Does submitting apps earlier to private schools like ivies increase chances if I'm applying RD?

I am applying RD to most of the Ivies and other private schools like Hopkins, Rice, Emory, WashU, etc. For these schools, does it give me an advantage if I submit my application Nov 5th for example vs submitting the application on December 20th? Some people were saying that if you submit earlier to ivies even if you are applying RD then they will have more time to look at your application, thus giving you a boost. Is it true that they read first come first serve?
Thanks!

No, as long as a RD application is in by the deadline it won’t make any difference. That said, best not to wait until the very last second in case you encounter any computer glitches or something along those lines.

I’ve never heard of schools reading “first come first serve”. The schools will prioritize their ED applications first since those decisions need to go out sooner. That said, if your applications are finished and you just want them off your plate, there is no harm in sending them in early.

No difference whatsoever

No. Honestly, they are hustling so hard on ED & EA pools (if they have them) that they probably won’t look early. And they compare the whole pool together. I’d make sure you get your app in at least a few days before the deadline, just to avoid last minute technical difficulties.

Some people are wrong. The AOs are wrapped up with ED until those decisions are released. They will not look at any RD applications. Once ED decisions are released, they start to wind down for the holidays before the fun starts again.

Unless the college has rolling admissions, no.

If you want to be considered for the Emory University Scholar award you need to have your entire RD application in by November 15. https://apply.emory.edu/apply/scholar.php. Other schools may have scholarship programs with different deadlines, other than January 1. Check all of the deadlines for all the schools on your list and make yourself a timeline of when you are going to submit each application.
