So for instance, if you did something the summer after 10th grade, would you list that as a 10th grade activity or an 11th grade activity?

I am wondering this too, except in terms of classes taken over the summer…where exactly do those go on my transcript?

buuummmppp anyone know?

I think you can do either way, but you must be consistent within your application.

i’m going to go with up since i would have already “graduated” the previous school year

What cellist said.

My D used June as the end of an academic year, so if she did something in summer, she put it in the following academic year category.

Grade after.

11th grade

So for instance:

Summer after 9th Grade -> 10th Grade
Summer after 10th Grade -> 11th Grade
Summer after 11th Grade -> 12th Grade

Then what would you put it you got accepted into something for the summer after 12th grade and wanted to put that on your application? Should I keep that in the 12th grade category or what?

I am wondering this also. I would like to hear something definite from an expert.

Here’s what I recommend: The activity should be tacked onto the end of the grade just completed unless you start it toward the end of the summer, then you can tack it onto the NEXT grade.

There really is no “right” or “wrong” answer to this.
