Does taking Stanford Online Courses hurt my chance at other top schools like MIT, Columbia, Harvard?
Should I write on my application for Harvard that I learned some courses on MIT Open Courseware?

no, stanford is considered a leader in their online courses and other universities respect that because they know they don’t offer similar experiences. it is sort of like having an award from Columbia Scholastic Press Association, doesn’t hurt your chances elsewhere. in fact it only improves your chances.

of course not. On the other hand, it helps you - it shows that you are intellectually curious and are taking stuff outside of class.

I also took an online course (its self study though) from another college (MIT actually), and got in Columbia.

so don’t worry :D
