I keep reading how large the classes are for the first two years. 200-300 students in a class.

Is that really true?

Not every class is that large. The math and English classes tend to be smaller (~30 going off memory) while the intro to Chem and physics classes are that big or larger. When the class is that big generally you’ll also have a ‘recitation’ period taught by a TA grad student who will help with homework and you may also do projects and stuff in there.
