well people from the Yale, Brown and Williams admissions offices access the p r s t a t s site so no reason why they wouldnt lurk on CC either...

wow thats kinda creepy.....but yet it totally makes sense. my school reads everyone's lj and myspace to make sure they aren't posting anything that would "reflect negatively on the school" so i guess i'm starting to just get used to the thought that someone important might be reading what i wrote.

someone is always reading what you write, big brother.... scary!

dum dum dum!

After all, why post it if you don't want someone to read it?

Yes, but a lot of the times people (at least me) don't realize just how many people can read it. I keep a xanga but I never think about who can be looking at it. I remember this guy from middle school IMed me once telling me that he was reading my xanga for like two years. It really freaked me out because he was such a stalker in middle school.

So yea I think I'll censor myself now...>.<

zante how successful do you think that will be, you already have approximately 5000 posts, more than enough fodder for a stalker

yea i know, which is why it really scares me that adcoms read this. It's impossible to browse around without seeing one of my posts.
but for what it's worth, I don't regret anything because I have met some truly awesome people here.

haha that's a new way of thinking about posts, stalker fodder....

zante would easily have the most stalkers....i'm actually starting to feel safer now with my measly amount

even from your 94th post I can tell that your a diver/swimmer in la

thats one of the reasons why I try to maintain anonymity

hahaha well i figure there are enough divers/swimmers in la that i think i'm ok. plus i don't think i know of anyone else that goes on CC.

you would be surprised

I found a person who lives a mile down from me and has almost the same exact stats and profile + I think I've seen some people from my school!

I majorly weirded out the older sister of one my son's classmates by mentioning (on first meeting her) that I had seen her CC posts. I apologized to her later.

Yep, you've got to figure that all kinds of unlikely people are reading whatever you post online--but don't let it spoil your day. In the old days, everyone lived in small, close-knit communities where they had few secrets. Anonymity and genuine privacy are rather rare conditions in human life.

I met a COUSIN on CC who worked out who I was from my posts...it doesnt get weirder than that.

I've found quite a few people from my school on this site but I've never said anything to them.

I don't think I've said anything on this site I would be afraid to let anyone else see... I think... I hope? Eeeeeeee! hides

My friends think I'm nuts for coming here.

Amen, kane. Mine think I need to stop obsessing about college. I sort of agree...

Internet posting can be kind of weird. From accidentally finding someone's LJ, I found out last year that this cheery, seemingly nice cheerleader at my school is an alcoholic girl on anti-depressants who hates her dad... or that she is a pathological liar.

By the way, how is "Rapelye" pronounced?

I think it sounds like Rap - Oh - Lie.
