hee, there was a thread like this in the Parents Forum. I wondered just how easily someone could identify me, and within a day, a parent had brought up my name, location, stats and personal extracurriculars info. scary!

By the way, how is "Rapelye" pronounced?
[/quote]

I thought it was rah-PEL-yi. Italian name?

ra (as in "rap)-pe-lee

The first sentence of my "Why Princeton" essay read:: "I'll admit that I don't know how to pronounce your last name, but what I do know is that..."

haha cute

I've never tried to pronouce her name but when I spell it I always think rape lye...which is really wrong of me >.<

LOL rape lye haha me gusta. i thot it was like rap-eh-lee i have no idea tho. lol. i doubt its rape lye tho.

ive always thought its more like Rap-el-ye

I mentally pronounce it "reh-pell-yeh"

***, there's a why princeton essay?!

david rune! don't post, i'm trying to dominate right now, you're messing up my vibe! please thank you!

hello. i felt like making a useless post =P

everyone posts about writing a why princeton essay but i think it was just what they wrote about for their optional essay.

if the adcoms where to visit this site i would say:

pick me pick me pick me

david - did you forget to write the why pton essay?

there wasn't a "Why Princeton" essay per se, but the BSE statement did ask you to describe why you think princeton is perfect for engineering.

Ah, sigh of relief.

The best part of applying to the top few is that they dont ask for a "why us" essay. There is no need to suck up to the adcoms and flatter the school away to glory. Even the BSE essay was not exactly a why princeton, it was a why a BSE essay

yale and upenn had a pretty direct why us essay.

didnt yale just have an essay expanding on your best ec sort of essay
