Hi everyone,
I'm a regular decision applicant to Tufts & just had my interview yesterday, which went quite well. I am aware that at Brown, for example, interviews aren't all that important. Is this the case at Tufts? How do admissions officers weigh the interview in terms of making a decision?
Just curious! Thanks.

Tufts interviews simply help in bringing your application to life and hopefully provide a little extra information. It's your transcript, scores, essays, and recommendations that really make up your application. But I'm glad yours went well. The ones that seem good to the applicant are also a lot of fun for the interviewer. Good luck with all your apps, Anna.

about brown, r u sure it's not that important? My cousin is an alum from brown and she said the interview is quite significant for the admission decision...

I hope the brown AND tufts ones are significant...I had very good interviews for both!

Don't stress it. It's your whole package---application, essays, transcript, interview, recs, supplements...etc...that matters. Your interview is just part of the bigger picture.
