Does the last number of our GPA make any difference?

Would a 3.42 and 3.47 have any differences? Or is a 3.4 a 3.4?

Yes it does, but obviously not as much as the first two digits.

thanks for the reply. so could a 3.47 even be viewed as a 3.5 in some instances?

No, they don’t round up or down past .001 precision, so a 3.468 would be considered a 3.47 but a 3.47 would not be considered a 3.5.

Absolutely, UCSD told me (year before last) I would’ve gotten in had my GPA been 0.02 points higher. lol. It was an arbitrary number too, not a .00 or a .05!
