Does the length of an internship matter?

I am an international student in an American college, currently back home for the summer. I am doing a 2 months long internship with a very well known multinational company. My question is, is the length of the internship important? I know that internships in the US usually take all summer (correct me if I’m wrong). I am in the office 9-5 so I’ll have over 300 hours by the end of the program. I may be looking for a job in the US (or Europe, outside of my country) after graduation, so I would like to know how potential employers look at this kind of thing.

Another question I have, and this is more out of curiosity, is: does the geographical location of an internship matter? A (made up) example: is an internship with Google in their Hungarian office as impressive as the one on their Silicon Valley campus?

The difference between 8 weeks and 10 weeks won’t matter, and Google is Google.

Okay thank you @collegemom3717 !

I think what you do in the internship is more important to where it is. Companies have numerous offices all over the world and the fact you have an international internship will be impressive, particularly to other companies that have offices all over the world

@Lakemom Sorry it took me so long to reply and thank you so much for your insight!

If anyone else has any more input on anything related to my post, I’d be happy to read it
