<p>When looking for internships and first job at graduation, you are likely to have better chances at the small employers local to your school than if you attend a far away school, since (a) you are more likely to know that they exist (if you do not know that they exist, then you will not even know to apply to them), (b) they are more likely to visit your school for recruiting, and (c) visiting the employer for interviews is convenient for both you and the employer if you are local (no dealing with airline flights, hotels, and other travel logistics).</p>
