Does the type of college you got into have anything to do with major?

I got into sixth and the GE's have nothing to do with math or engineering.. btw i am an engineering major..

They’re totally unrelated.

And people on this board (in general) have been making such a big deal about which college they got into - honestly, it really doesn’t matter. It’s not like being in Sixth and not Warren, for example, puts you at any disadvantage.

Congrats on getting into UCSD. :)

agreed. the only thing that really matters is the cool stuff that each college’s students get to do, and the others dont. like the chocolate festival that 6th does… but no other students are allowed into (or what i was told by my personal guide. if that is wrong than i apologize) im jealous of that.

i dont care about reputation, im talking about how the GE classes have nothing to do with my engineering major, will it put me back a couple of semesters because i dont GE classes like physics or cal?

It doesn’t matter. Honest. You are going to graduate either way, and Warren kids really don’t have an advantage over you, except mayybe the fact that they are 10 feet from Jacobs.

nope. the only thing that college system affects you is the # of GEs you need to take.
