does the app ask you to rank the schools you’re applying to as first choice, second choice, and so on? because wouldn’t this tell the school you really want to go to that you REALLY want to go there?

No
.

oh, darn!!

Nope lol, that would be cool though

hmm no they do not ask you that question

um why would that be cool? lets say u want 1. berk 2. ucla 3. ucsd

but u arent good enough for berk and ucla, and b/c ucsd is ranked 3, they dont think u like them and wont choose to go (they may assume u got into some other school higher on ur list). then ucsd will reject you, and then YOU ARE SCREWEDDDDDD!!!! tear

This question was likely asked because a lot of people believe that Berkeley and UCLA like to accept students to only of them in order to increase their yield percentages, since they compete for many of the same students. UCSD should know that their chances of luring away a Berkeley/UCLA admit are pretty slim anyway, unless maybe if the student lives in SD.
