I'm using a 2007 princeton cracking the ACT version right now. And I have some other books that are about 5-6 years old. Does it matter how old they are?

Compare those books to the newest editions lol. You can tell if there is a difference better than we can.

Well that means that I have to buy the books then… No stores near here.

I’ve taken tests from the handbook that the ACT releases every year and from what I see, the test from 2005 is relatively the same as the test from 2011. All the sections are essentially the same aside from math, where there are just minor changes. For example, from the earlier tests, when they ask you to find an angle or measure of something in a geometry problem, they won’t have the coordinates/ measures on the actual problem for you. You’ll have to fill it in yourself and then figure out what they’re asking for. In the newer tests, they have the measures already filled in for you.

So funny thing. I bought the 2010 version of cracking the act and then my mom got the 2007 version from the library when they were selling old books for $0.25. I looked at the 2007 version hoping it would be different but all of the practice problems look the same. So the 2007 version is good.
