Does this college exist?

Can anyone help me find a school that meets as many of these qualifications as possible? Thanks so much!!

-suburban
-in the north east (preferibly in NY, Mass, PA, CT, NH, V, RI, NJ)
-strong history department
-intellectual student body/students care about learning
-open, green campus, lots of grass and trees
-drinking/sports/greek life aren't a major aspect of campus
-small to medium sized student body (anywhere from 1,000 to around 9,000)
-small classes and a great faculty
-I've got the safeties/match schools covered so I'm specifically looking for some reach schools, but realistic reaches (2140 SAT, 4.0 GPA, 1/120 rank to be concise)

I think that's about it, probably forgetting something major though, lol. Hope someone can help me find some schools I may have missed.

Tufts or Haverford

Swarthmore maybe

Johns Hopkins, U of Penn, Brown, U of Rochester, Brandeis, Drew, Haverford, Swarthmore, maybe Tufts

Tufts University of Swarthmore (all except size for Swat)

The College of New Jersey

BROWN UNIVERSITY - especially about the strong history part

Brown was the first college that came to my mind, too.

swarthmore is perfect!! swat fits everything (including size - there's like 400 per class, so like 1500 total students)

A few other options: Haverford, Holy Cross, Smith, Bryn Mawr and Wellesley.

Swarthmore is an . . . interesting place. Visit before you apply, I personally like Bryn Mawr and Haverford over Swat, even though those two are maches rather then reaches.

I third Brown.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!! Brown's already on my list but a few others that look promising weren't. Keep em coming!!

A note about Brandeis: though it's not as prestigious as many of those schools up there, I have heard AMAZING things about all of the history professors and even I, the antithesis of a history person, was inticed by many of their classes. Anita Hill also teaches history there, which is spiffy. It also meets every one of your qualifications and, with your stats, you'd prolly get an awesome scholarship. I had similar stats to you and got a full ride. So maybe as a safety or a place to apply if money is an issue?

Wesleyan & Vassar
