I want to study neuroscience in college, but I have no related extracurricular activities. I haven't taken any related courses either, as my high school doesn't offer any. My interest in neuroscience mainly stems from a great deal of reading I've done on the subject outside of school... I try to devote about an hour each night to the subject, so would this count as an extra curricular activity I could put on my application??

“reading” is an EC, but its a very weak one. All top students tend to read extensively, so it really doesn’t say much about you.

If you are looking for neuroscience ECs, there is a international competition fo high school students called The Brain Bee ([Society for Neuroscience - Brain Bee](<a href=“Society for Neuroscience - 404”>Society for Neuroscience - 404)).

See if you can get some research experience in this or a related area.
