I am a current rising senior, and I was wondering if Dartmouth would consider this/would put it towards my advantage:

My first cousin (daughter of my uncle) is currently first in her class at Dartmouth Medical School.

Does it help my chances?

Generally, legacies only are parents or brothers/sisters.

But if you mention in your essay this fact (something about how your have always wanted to be like your cousin who graduated from Dartmouth Medical #1--and he/she has always encouraged you to do so--and how up to now you have been successfully doing so, how you admire what they've achieved, etc. etc.), it probably couldn't hurt.
