DOES THIS CRAZY SCALE APPLY TO ALL AP's?

[MC correct - 1/4(MC wrong)]*1.2

that multiplication, is that also for ap bio?
i know that it's sure for ap calc AB

Nope. That scale is just because there are 45 MC questions and 54 points possible for FRQ on the calc tests. That formula makes those two sections equal like they are supposed to be.

no i meant the multiplication.
is there anything like that in bio to help your raw score? or is it just
what you got right-1/4what you got wrong

Each individual test tends to have its own multiplier, based on what portion of the exam they choose to emphasize and how many questions they tend to have. Offhand, I don’t know what the Bio multiplier is, or if they definitely have one.

And AP Calc definitely strives to have the MC worth 50% of the exam score and the FR worth 50% of the exam score. In 2008, when the College Board decided not to count one of the MC questions (#19) on the AB exam towards the actual score, they changed the multiplier that year from 54/45 = 1.2 to 54/44. :)

thanks prof!!!
